Did you know that a piece of perfect wall is made of nearly nine different components that only custom framing can offer. Havemuseum's quality framing, almost nine different components must fit together properly. Just like me, it may be interesting for you to know about these components and the purpose for which they are used.
1. molding,
2. glazing,
3. mat,
4. zipper,
5. artwork,
6. Mount the card,
7. board Support
8. dust cover, and
9. bumper.
Now let us have small introductions of all these parts and which are used for framing.
1. Moulding:
Is an artistic border around a photo. It is also called the frame. Has a rigid hollow structure generally consists of plastics, metals and wood. It holds the glass etched inside edges. Framing shops like paintbox art & framing offer a wide range of frames for custom framing. Moulding serves as protection for the overall framing structure and adorns also look on the whole of your piece of wall.
2. glazing:
Is high quality-glass plate used in picture framing generally to protect the artwork. Is placed exactly above the artwork. Mainly aims to save the artwork from moisture, dirt and heat. Laminated glass or acrylic materials can save images, usually drawn on paper or tissues from heat radiation and ultra-violet. This is necessary because some works of art are made with pigments or dyes, which tend to de-colorize when directly exposed to ultraviolet light or heat. There are several types of glass or glass for framing images.
1. acrylic Glass
2. adjust glass (also called transparent glass)
3. low iron glass (also called white-and extra-clear water)
4. glass Laminate all these types of glass have their own unique characteristics and are used for several purposes in framing.
3. Mats:
Mat is a paper used to separate the glass art. Is included within its frame and serves as further decoration for artwork. There are basically two types of rugs available in the market, acidic mats or acid-free. They come in four quality levels
1. Museum Board (high quality),
2. Museum mat or Rag mat
4. Acid-free mat,
It is essential because it separates the glass from the artwork or photography. And if moisture or condensation is generated above the glass, cardboard soaks up automatically. And although the glass is authorized to contact the photo or artwork may tend to stick with it and ruin it. perfect cutting mat is also a matter of skill in framing.
4. Zipper:
Zipper is generally mounted on riser board to secure tightly the artwork on the riser board. Generally consists of screw and a piece of metal. There may be some even more creative forms of plastic according to the atmosphere of the piece of the wall and photo frames.
5. artwork:
This is the work of art should be displayed in. Is the main part of framing. Can be a hand-drawn sketch, an oil painting, a photograph or whatever to be framed.
6. install the card:
Is a Board composed of foam-core or non-core foam or companion-like materials. Is usually thicker than the companion and is used to support the image from within. preferably should be free from acid because Monte acid-free board stop malicious decays for artwork on which runs the paneling.
7. support Board:
Also support tab should preferably be acid-free. Strong support plate is generally made of wood. It can be 1-ply, 2 ply 4 ply or based on which used to be the piece of the wall. Provides overall framing structure resistance.
8. dust cover:
Is a thin protective cover to save the artwork from external dust. It encloses the rear wall-piece, so that dust can not enter. For museum quality photo frame is a very important part.
9. bumper:
Bumpers are embossed sections behind the wall-piece and frame. Bring you to protect the wall and separate it from the piece of the wall. Bumpers are usually made of rubber, but can also be made of metal, plastic or wood. Can be carved inside for wall-to-wall piece of tack. So basically there is a huge difference between the usual framing and framing of museum quality.
